How do I upload tools to Hollow Art Resources?

    Question

How do I upload tools to Hollow Art Resources?

    Answer

We have tried to make things as simple to use as possible on this site.  Each field on the submit tools page is numbered and this guide corresponds to each number.

First things first, go to 'Create Content' and click on the 'Create' button next to Tools.

    1.    Enter the title of your post.  This should be self-explanatory, but please consider that any search will pick up this title, so you may wish to make it relevant to your subject!

    2.    Enter tags. Please choose a tag or tags from each of the boxes. There are three types of tags which are required for tutorials:-

    • Application - these tags reference what programme your tutorial is compatible with. If your tutorial is compatible with multiple programmes, please hold down ctrl to select more than one.
    • Type - these tags are a description of the type of tool you are uploading.  Only one should be relevant.  If your tool does not fit any of the given categories, please list it as 'other'.
    • Further Detail - this is a free tagging box to allow you to insert any other relevant tags to aid listing.  For example, a font post may have 'handwriting' included.  Please keep your tags general and do not simply post the name of your texture!  Any inappropriate tags will be removed by moderators.

    3.   Enter preview image. The image can be uploaded directly from your computer to the site and should be an example of the tool(s) contained within your post. This will display in the teaser view of the post, as well as the top of the main page of your post.

    4.    Comments.  Have anything you want to say about your post?  This is the place to say it!

    5. Upload texture pack. Upload your textures direct from your computer.  If you specific type of tool is unsupported directly in the upload, we suggest uploading them as a single .zip file or similar.

    6.     When you have finished adding your tools, click 'preview' to check how it looks, or 'submit' to sumbit the post to the site.
