Question
Answer
We have tried to make things as simple to use as possible on this site. Each field on the submit screencaps page is numbered and this guide corresponds to each number.
First things first, go to 'Create Content' and click on the 'Create' button next to Screencap.
1. Enter the title of your post. This should be self-explanatory, but please consider that any search will pick up this title, so you may wish to make it relevant to your subject!
2. Enter tags. Please choose a tag or tags from each of the boxes. There are two types of tags which are required for screencaps:-
- Type of screencap – these tags reference what type of programme your screencaps cover – movie, television show, animation, music video or other. If more than one is relevant, please hold down ctrl to select more than one.
- Programme name – type in the name of the programme your screencaps are from (for example, Chuck or Moulin Rouge)
3. Enter highlight image. The image can be uploaded directly from your computer to the site and should be an image of your finished result. This will display in the teaser view of the post, as well as the top of the main page of your post.
4. Enter four other images. Up to four other screencaps can be uploaded directly to your computer. These along with the main highlight image will serve as an example of your screencaps on the main view of your finished post.
5. Enter links. Screencaps cannot be hosted directly on this site (sorry, we just don't have the space!) and so we ask you to provide a link to either a gallery site, or to a site on which you have hosted a .zip file containing your screencaps. You can enter up to eight links.
6. Comments. Have anything you want to say about your screencaps? For example how many there are, and how big? This is the place to say it!
7. When you have finished adding your screencaps, click 'preview' to check how it looks, or 'submit' to sumbit the post to the site.
